Immersion is one of the most effective methods for mastering a new language, particularly German. Through our European Excursion & Immersion Program, one of the most thrilling study opportunities for language learners in Nigeria, we at The Multi-Language Place go beyond classroom training to assist students in experiencing languages in their native environments.
Our team made memorable stops throughout Europe during this year’s excursion program, with Amsterdam, a city rich in culture, history, and worldwide influence, serving as a special highlight.
Under the dedicated direction of our Director, Dr. Ezekiel Olagunju, students and staff embarked on another spectacular tour through Europe. Every year, this program makes classroom learning come to life, especially for our German language learners who get to engage with native speakers, investigate practical applications, and gain a greater understanding of European culture.
As the group resumed their journey around Europe, this year’s immersion experience was full with thrills, fresh discoveries, and treasured memories.
A visit to Amsterdam’s famous Diamond Factory was one of the trip’s main pleasures. Students experienced firsthand the precise artistry that has shaped the city’s centuries-old diamond-cutting industry.
The experience combined:
History of Amsterdam’s diamond trade
Live demonstrations of stone cutting and polishing
Cultural insights into Dutch artistry and innovation
This trip not only increased the cultural side of the journey but also broadened students’ understanding of how language relates with global companies, tourism, and cultural heritage.
After the Diamond Factory, the party had a tour of Amsterdam, one of Europe’s most beautiful and picturesque towns.
